I could sit forever and watch the smoke and vapors rise over the rooftops as the sun begins to burn though the mist and fog. This was painted from life and photographs. One of my favorites. Florence before drones, and the drones of mass tourism and developers slicing and packaging it up. The little bell-tower in the foreground belongs to San Remigio church which dates back to the year 1040. What we’re going through is a brief chapter in time. These buildings kept me company along with my coffee.
